Beyond the mist-shrouded hills of Kilforth stands a place whispered of only in fearful tavern tales. A vast citadel of twisted corridors, forgotten chambers, deadly traps, desperate souls, and monstrous guardians. This is Kreel Manor — the infamous Citadel of Horrors.
Somewhere within its shadowed depths lies the key to preventing a tide of toxic gloom from engulfing the lands of Kilforth. To succeed, you must explore the manor’s labyrinthine halls, unravel sinister plots, overcome deadly foes, and ultimately confront the Lord of the Manor himself.
Kreel Manor is a richly thematic fantasy adventure card game for 1–3 players (expandable to 4 players with Hero expansions). Combining dungeon crawling, narrative decision-making, character progression, and tactical card play, it delivers a complete campaign experience in a compact card game format.
Choose Your Hero
Every adventure begins by selecting one of three unique heroes, each with their own strengths, abilities, stories, and playstyle.
The Wolf of the North is an honourable warrior who excels in direct combat and martial prowess.
The War Mage wields powerful arcane magic, destroying enemies through cunning spellcraft and devastating abilities.
The Night Raven is a stealthy assassin who thrives on deception, infiltration, and striking from the shadows before enemies can react.
Each hero possesses their own starting equipment, skill cards, upgrades, mastery abilities, and branching story events, ensuring every campaign feels distinct.
Explore the Citadel of Horrors
Every game of Kreel Manor takes place within a dangerous network of interconnected locations. Heroes must navigate sprawling courtyards, ancient guard rooms, hidden passages, abandoned dungeons, and mysterious chambers as they delve ever deeper into the manor.
Locations are not merely places to pass through. Each offers unique opportunities, risks, and special abilities that can be exploited by clever adventurers. Some may provide valuable advantages, while others conceal new dangers waiting to emerge from the darkness.
To achieve victory, heroes must fully explore every location standing between them and their ultimate destination.
Defeat Threats, Foes, and Plots
The manor is populated by a vast array of enemies and obstacles. Goblins, dwarves, guards, vermin, barbarians, monstrous creatures, and countless other dangers stand in your path.
Every threat can potentially be overcome through multiple approaches. Heroes may fight, influence, deceive, threaten, negotiate, bribe, sneak past, or otherwise outmanoeuvre the dangers they encounter.
Hidden among the deck are powerful Plots that represent the schemes and agendas driving the manor’s inhabitants. Discovering and defeating these plots is essential to victory.
Even more dangerous are the Foes — powerful boss enemies that must be overcome before an adventure can be completed.
As time runs short, the Lord’s Vengeance itself may be unleashed, overwhelming heroes who linger too long in the darkness.
A Living Storybook Adventure
At the heart of Kreel Manor lies its narrative-driven Book of Fables.
Throughout the campaign, heroes are instructed to consult story entries that reveal new narrative developments, choices, rewards, dangers, and consequences. These branching events help create an unfolding fantasy tale unique to each playthrough.
Choices made during one adventure can influence future adventures, creating a sense of progression and discovery rarely found in traditional dungeon crawlers.
Build Your Hero
As adventures are completed, heroes grow stronger.
New skills, powerful upgrades, rare treasures, weapons, armour, followers, and magical artefacts can all be discovered during the campaign. Equipment is visually represented on dedicated hero boards, allowing players to customise their characters as they progress.
Will you focus on raw combat power? Masterful stealth? Arcane dominance? Or a versatile blend of abilities?
Every campaign offers different opportunities and rewards, encouraging experimentation and replayability.
A Five-Adventure Campaign
Unlike many standalone dungeon crawlers, Kreel Manor is designed around a connected five-adventure campaign.
Heroes begin in the Great Hall of Kreel before progressing through a series of branching adventures determined by their choices. Successes and failures carry forward, equipment persists between adventures, and wounds accumulate over time.
Victory requires completing all five adventures before your hero suffers too many lasting injuries. The ultimate challenge is to conquer the entire campaign without receiving a single wound.
