Gloom of Kilforth is an epic fantasy adventure board game for 1–4 players set in the acclaimed World of Kilforth.
The land of Kilforth is a perilous domain filled with nefarious monsters, mysterious strangers, treacherous locations, and rival factions vying for power. At the heart of the land lies Sprawl City, where intrepid heroes begin their journey to fame, fortune, and destiny.
Over the coming month, a deadly gloom will descend upon Kilforth. Heroes must battle through darkness, complete their sagas, defeat a primordial Ancient, and save the land before all hope is lost.
A Gothic Fantasy Adventure
Gloom of Kilforth combines high fantasy with a gothic edge. Players assume the roles of heroes travelling through a dark world of magic and peril, visiting strange places, meeting stranger people, and defeating powerful enemies in their mission to uncover mysterious artefacts, spells, and forgotten secrets.
Each player experiences their hero’s journey from modest beginnings through to a climactic battle that decides the fate of the world.
Create Your Heroic Saga
Every hero begins with a unique Race, Class, and personal Saga.
Choose from races such as Human, Elf, Orc, Dwarf, Vampire, Half-Demon, Half-Elf, and Dark Elf. Select a class such as Warrior, Wizard, Priest, or Rogue, then develop increasingly powerful Arcane, Martial, Pious, or Shadow skills as your saga unfolds.
Discover powerful Allies, Weapons, Armour, Titles, Spells, and magical artefacts that transform your hero throughout the adventure.
Adventure, Combat, and Exploration
Travel across a living fantasy world filled with Enemies, Quests, Places, Strangers, Events, and hidden dangers.
Battle terrifying foes, complete dangerous objectives, uncover rumours, and gather the resources needed to complete your Saga and unlock the path to the final confrontation.
As the game progresses, Night cards gradually spread gloom across the map, creating increasing pressure as time runs out.
Solo, Cooperative, or Competitive Play
Gloom of Kilforth supports multiple ways to play.
Play solo by controlling between one and four heroes, work together in a fully cooperative campaign, or compete against rival heroes to become the champion of Kilforth.
Every mode offers meaningful decisions, challenging encounters, and a rich narrative experience.
