Shadows of Kilforth: A Fantasy Quest Game is a stand-alone fantasy adventure board game for 1–4 players, set in the acclaimed world of Kilforth. Journey across a vast wilderness of forgotten ruins, ancient mysteries, dangerous enemies, and hidden treasures as you race against the spreading Gloom to complete your saga and confront an ancient evil.
Playable solo, cooperatively, or competitively, every game tells a unique story. Heroes travel across a modular map, overcome encounters, gather powerful allies and artefacts, develop new skills, and build an epic personal saga before facing a climactic final battle that will determine the fate of Kilforth.
A Stand-Alone Adventure in the Kilforth Saga
Set along the eastern frontiers of Kilforth, Shadows of Kilforth introduces new heroes, new encounters, new locations, and new ancient threats. While fully compatible with other Kilforth titles, it is designed as a complete stand-alone experience that can be enjoyed on its own.
As the land gradually falls into darkness, players have fewer than twenty-five days to strengthen their heroes, complete their sagas, and defeat a powerful Ancient before the world is consumed by Gloom.
Create Your Own Heroic Saga
Every hero combines a unique Race and Class, creating a wide variety of character combinations. Become a Vampire Sorcerer, a Seraph Samurai, a Shape Changer Yakuza, or dozens of other combinations, each offering different strengths, abilities, and strategies.
As your adventure unfolds, you will complete Saga Chapters, acquire powerful Skills, discover magical rewards, recruit loyal companions, and gather the keywords and resources needed to complete your personal quest.
Explore a Living Fantasy World
The world of Shadows of Kilforth is built from twenty-five interconnected locations arranged into a dynamic map that changes every game. Heroes will venture through forests, mountains, badlands, ruins, shrines, caves, and forgotten places in search of glory and survival.
Along the way they will encounter mysterious strangers, dangerous enemies, hidden places, challenging quests, powerful artefacts, and unexpected events. Every decision contributes to an emergent narrative adventure shaped by the cards you discover and the choices you make.
Solo, Cooperative, or Competitive Play
Shadows of Kilforth supports multiple styles of play. Experience a deep solo adventure controlling one or more heroes, work together to save the world in cooperative mode, or compete against fellow adventurers to become the hero who defeats the Ancient first.
Regardless of player count, every session delivers a complete fantasy journey filled with exploration, character development, tactical decisions, and memorable stories.
